Shine On!

There is a side to you-

A side that you don't want to see,

A side that makes you want to flee.

Go look into the mirror and tell me-

If what you see is what you've chosen to be,

Or what you see is what you've been told to be.

To run away from yourself might seem easy,

But it will haunt you and you will never be truly free.

I tell you- Brace yourself with all you see!

Give yourself a chance to see that dark side of thee,

Give yourself a chance to see that bright side of thee,

And then shall you be set free!

There will be no blind spots to escape from

And accepting all you see, you will be the one you wish to be,

Alas at peace and ready to fly!

There is a side to you that I know does exist,
A side that you resist, A side that you desist.
So go on now! What are you waiting for? Blow off the mist!

Soar through the sky!
